Outspoken television presenter Piers Morgan has conceded that the country cannot be trusted with referendums - referencing the fact that they once voted for Boaty McBoatface.
The topic of Brexit arose in discussion with writer and actor Simon Callow, who was giving his reaction to the June 2016 vote.
Callow told Good Morning Britain: 'I was confused, unhappy, unconfident, bewilldered, angry - lots of things of that sort. It seems something happened overnight without us noticing it, and the consequences are monumental and massive. I see no clear way through it.'

The Four Weddings and a Funeral star was unconvinced that a People's Vote could heal the divide in the country.
He said: 'It's a scary one and we all know why - whatever result it was terribly problematic. If the Remainers win then there'll be vast resentment in the country. If the Leavers win we're back where we were before.'

Callow said that the 'motives for the referendum in the first place were extremely dubious and sketch'.
He added that 'referenda is not really our thing and so I don't think we really think them through at all'.

Presenter Pier Morgan, who has been previously critical of a re-run of the Brexit vote, agreed.
Morgan said: 'I don't think we should trust the British public with their view on anything. It's like when we had that thing of naming that boat and they called it Boaty McBoatface. We cannot be trusted not to give the establishment a bloody nose, can we?'
