Anti-Brexit campaigners handed out sweet and savoury treats as part of a protest outside the Houses of Parliament on Wednesday.
The peaceful protests took place as MPs discussed the Grieve amendment in the latest debate on the EU Withdrawal Bill.
Campaigners from SODEM (Stand of Defiance European Movement) handed out Brexit ‘fudge cake’ and unicorn cakes alongside pies as part of the ‘Pies Not Lies’ movement.
Others flew the EU flag and handed out leaflets in support of a People’s Vote as MPs arrived to vote on the EU Withdrawal Bill.
The protest came ahead of the People’s March on Saturday which organisers have called the ‘biggest demonstration on Brexit yet’. Find out more information on The New European website.
