Yawn… Farage on Question Time AGAIN

He offers no insight, no expertise and no reasonable debate – and yet here was Nigel Farage for the 32nd time on Question Time.

He did, however, offer mock horror at Sir John Major’s sensible Brexit intervention, contradiction over what he had and had not said before and several rambling monologues – we have seen and heard it all a million times before.

Why on earth does the BBC continue to invite him on? He is no longer the leader of UKIP. He voted to make himself redundant by 2019 from his MEP role. Is it just because he makes good TV? The panto villain for many who is not bothered about ruffling feathers and saying some things other might not dare? But this wasn’t good TV.

It can’t be because of his political insight which stopped abruptly before he’d even opened his mouth. ‘If there is a few bob to pay we will – we are reasonable people’ was about as interesting as it got.

It is time to get over Farage – whatever happens between now Brexit day. Whether we leave, remain or (more likely) fudge something inbetween, let’s move on from Farage.

He wasn’t Question Time’s favourite guest in Blackpool though – that was Ken Clarke who made his 58th appearance. Unlike Farage he still has something interesting to say.
