Too often Jeremy Corbyn has shirked his responsibility to hold the government to account on Brexit – not today.
Theresa May would have hoped the Labour leader might have given her an easy ride, he has in the past.
But at this PMQs, finally, Corbyn had May on the ropes.
Repeatedly she failed to answer the difficult questions on Brexit, on Chequers and on any divorce bill the United Kingdom might have to pay.

In a bid to rally a weak performance she was forced to revert to her default debating mode – a list. But it is wearing very thin.
Corbyn, on the other hand, aimed six well-placed blows at the prime minister. Anyone hoping she was about to jet off to Brussels with the solutions that would break the Brexit deadlock will have been left fretting after this showing: the prime minister is floundering.
During an impressive closing salvo Corbyn said: ‘The Conservative party has spent two years arguing with itself instead of negotiating a deal in the public interest. And now, just days before the deadline, they are still bickering amongst themselves.
‘The prime minister and her government are too weak and too divided to protect people’s jobs, our economy or ensure there is no hard border in Northern Ireland.
‘So the prime minister has a choice, she can continue to put the Tory party’s interest first or she can listen to unions, businesses and put the interests of the people of Britain first. Which is it to be?’
