The New European is looking for an experienced senior commissioning editor to join our team, full-time. Here’s a list of qualities we would like to see in the ideal candidate:

A few considerations that will be relevant:
We don’t work from an office, so working from home is mandatory. The job is full-time, but we can always be flexible. A really good contacts book is going to be essential – so it’s probably not suitable for someone new to editing. We are definitely open to anyone with particular areas of specialism, but it’s a broad role – you’ll be commissioning and editing articles about politics, society and culture from across Europe and beyond. And you’ll be working across both digital and print.
It goes without saying that we are an equal opportunities employer, though it’s fair to point out that if you are a massive fan of Brexit you will probably find our editorial conferences a bit tiresome.
